Hospitality with Tourism Management MSc
With dreams of running his own restaurant one day, Abraham chose UCB as “one of the best universities in Europe” for training for a career in the hospitality industry.
“I chose this course because I enjoy working in the hospitality industry and serving people, and UCB has outstanding facilities and a personal touch to courses,” he said.
“One of the best parts of the course is the learning trips you get to take part in to support the programme, which are all included in your fees.”
Currently working with Staycity Aparthotels in the heart of Birmingham, Abraham’s mission is to advance up the career ladder and be the best in his field by five years’ time.
“My advice to new students would be to focus on your course and make yourself accessible to all the extra services that are offered to students at USB,” he said. “For example, language courses are offered for free at the University, a great added benefit.
“I would also advise students to choose UCB for its invaluable CV research department, helping students put together their CVs in a way that will attract employers looking to hire or recruit. @HIRED also helps students to get work, which is extremely useful.”
"I now work for the largest international airline in the UK, and I cannot imagine doing anything else. My job takes me across the world (in fact as I write this I am by the pool of a 5* hotel in Singapore) next month my work will take me to Rio, Cape Town, Chicago, Kenya and South Korea."
