Entry Requirements for students from Taiwan

International Foundation Diploma

Senior High School graduates will be required to do an International Foundation Diploma before progressing to a Bachelor Degree in the appropriate subject.  For students with a good level of English (IELTS 5.0 or equivalent) the International Foundation course will be suitable.  For those with a slightly lower level of English (IELTS 4.5 or equivalent) the Intensive English Language Programme (IEP) will be recommended.


Junior College Diploma holders will be considered for direct admission to the second year of a related Undergraduate Degree programme offered at UCB.  Stronger candidates may be considered for direct entry to the final year of an Undergraduate Degree programme.

Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points or A Levels obtained in Taiwan will be considered for direct admission to a first Degree programme.


Applicants holding a Degree from a recognised institution with a pass of at least 70% will be considered for a place on a Masters Degree programme.
