Boxing Academy: Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE)

I wasn’t great at team sports and would lose my temper so my dad suggested I try kickboxing. I took up traditional boxing when I was nine to work on my punching. I enjoyed it so much I dropped kickboxing.

I fell in love with boxing, I didn’t want to do anything else. I didn’t want to kick any more – I wanted to hit people. But I don’t like blood. I am a proper girly girl.

My training at UCB has really helped me progress. I won the Amateur Boxing Association of England junior title at 16 and won the youth title in 2015. I also went to the European Championships in Hungary.

I will compete at senior elite level in 2016 and hope to get to the Commonwealth Games in Australia in 2018 and the 2020 Olympics.
