Bakery Level 2 Certificate & Level 3 Diploma

I have always been interested in baking and cheffing. I saw the bakery course here and decided to give it a go. A careers adviser at school pointed it out and my mum and I came to an open day. I loved it, it was so different to school. Everything was unique.

I never really wanted to go to sixth form. I have always been more creative and I don’t like the sit-down exams. At UCB they treat you like they want you to be here. It feels like a proper bakery.

I did Level 2 bakery, which was really good fun. I learned so much that I decided to do Level 3. I thought I could bake before I came to UCB but now I really know what baking involves.

Level 3 is going really well. It is hard work and you test yourself a lot more. I have made gateau opera, macarons and we get to try different breads. I want to come back to UCB after I finish to do the degree and then I want to open my own business. I want to own a bakery but mainly on the confectionery and cake side.
