Hairdressing Level 2 & 3 Diploma
My brother did a chef course at UCB and he recommended the college to me. Other places offered similar courses but the facilities were not as good as here. The other colleges don’t go into the same depth as they do at UCB, so it wasn’t a difficult choice.
You have to work as a team. All the students are really passionate about the course and they want to get on.
I have always had a flair for hair. You can express yourself through styling and you don’t have to blend in with someone else’s ideas. With hair you can be a bit freer with the ways you do things. You get taught the techniques but you can add your own personal way of doing it.
You can talk to the staff. They don’t look down on you like some school teachers do. You can have a laugh and talk to them. They are there to give you guidance and help your understanding but they actually care about you too.
Eventually, I want to be a mobile hairdresser. I want to be my own boss.
