Theatrical Special Effects Hair and Media Make-up Level 3 Diploma

UCB came to my secondary school and told us about the diploma and I was fascinated. There are so many great parts of the course. We have been doing fake beards and moustaches and gender changes. We are learning about different lighting and how that affects make-up on the catwalk and photo shoots.

It is a great way to build up your knowledge of make-up. There is such a wide range of skills and we cover a huge diversity of make-up and hair. There are a lot of job opportunities and work placements, too. The lecturers always listen to the students.

I am really excited because we are doing a Sweeney Todd theme for our next fashion show and it is my favourite movie.

Hopefully, I will stay on at UCB to do the foundation degree course. I would like to further my knowledge. I have spoken to people on the uni class and they have done prosthetics, which is what I want to do. Then I want to work on TV, or films or the theatre.
