Once you’ve attended your interview we will try and confirm the offer of a place within 7 working days. Occasionally we may need more information before we can confirm a place so it may take longer.
How will I know if I’ve been offered a place?
Wherever possible you will be told whether or not you have been offered a place at your interview. We will receive an email as soon as the offer has been made and we will also send you an official offer letter by email, usually within 7 working days of your interview. Offers are unconditional or conditional.
If you are offered an unconditional place this means that we have all the information we need and you have a definite place on the course. Your letter will confirm if the offer is unconditional.
A conditional offer means there are certain conditions you need to meet. For example, your offer may be conditional on GCSE results or other qualifications, a satisfactory reference or school report. Students on some of our courses are also required to have a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check as part of their offer. Your offer letter will list the conditions you need to meet.
What happens if I am not offered a place?
There are occasions when we are unable to offer a place and we will let you know as soon as possible after your interview. There can be a variety of reasons for this and we are happy to provide feedback if required. We can also put you in contact with our Hired team who can offer careers advice and discuss other options with you.
What happens after I receive my offer?
When you receive your offer letter, please make sure you read it through and keep it in a safe place. You may need to refer to it again, particularly if there are conditions you need to meet. You will need to decide whether or not you want to accept the offer. Your letter will show a web address which you will need to access to confirm if you wish to accept, decline or defer the offer. We may give you a time limit to do this. If you decide not to take the place it is important that you let us know as soon as possible to give someone else the opportunity of a place.
Do I need to let you know when I receive my GCSE results?
You will be asked to bring your results with you when you enrol. Please note that we can’t accept results by phone. You will need to bring your result slips or certificates with you and a tutor will discuss these with you.
How will I know when to enrol?
We will contact you by letter or email in July to confirm your enrolment date and time. Enrolments take place at the end of August. You will also be invited to a welcome event for your course to get information about your enrolment and any uniform or equipment you need. Welcome events usually take place in July.
