Student Celebrates after winning an Apple iPad

IMG1771Maria Simova, a third year Tourism Business Management degree student, was delighted to hear the news that she was the winner of a fantastic Apple iPad following the results of a college prize draw.

To encourage students to take part in the online National Student Survey, UCB set up the competition which saw over 800 final year HE students complete the survey giving their feedback on their experiences of the course and life at college.

As a thank you, all students who completed the survey were given 1,000 free printer credits which many found useful whilst working on their final year projects and dissertations.

Maria, who is from Slovakia, was presented with her prize by Deputy Principal, Paul Simpson, Student Guild President, Gregg Johnson and Robin Dutton, Director of Quality Systems. She said:  “ I am absolutely delighted to have won the iPad, it is really fantastic.  I was happy to take part in the survey anyway as it is a good opportunity to give an account of my experience at college, so to have won the top prize is a an unexpected bonus”.

The results of the National Student Survey will be released in August 2011 via the Unistats Website (Search by institution title).
