Local College Students get a Taste of HE Life

DSC02589-smallUniversity College Birmingham recently ran a number of Progression Days for students from local College’s to explain the benefits of progressing onto Higher Education.  The days also give the students a taste of the industries they are interested in and showcased the fantastic facilities and opportunities available here at UCB.

The Lifelong learning Network set-up the progression Agreement between UCB and local Colleges and it has been a great success with tremendous support from all involved.

Progression AgreementThe Progression Days saw students embrace the possibilities of higher education whilst getting involved with activities such as smoothie making, fitness testing, handling some cute and definitely some crawly animals from West Midlands Safari Park (pictured) and a lunch service in the Atrium restaurant.  The feedback from the events was very positive and we hope to be running similar events in the future.

Progression Days were held in Catering, Hospitality, Sport and Travel & Tourism full details of Progression Agreements can be found on www.herouteplanner.co.uk
