Visit Britain Social Media Project

University College Birmingham is working with Visit Britain to provide suggestions for its next marketing strategy. Using a social media website, similar to the concept of Trip Advisor, we are asking students to write reviews of, and upload photos and video clips of Birmingham and the West Midlands region. Students have been reviewing anything they think tourists might be interested in; attractions, events, restaurants and more, based on concepts studied during their courses.

All reviews will be linked to Visit Britain’s website and potentially reach tourists worldwide. Visit http://www.visitorreview.com/Universitycollegebirmingham to read the reviews.  This is proving a  great ‘hands- on’ opportunity for UCB students to learn about how social media influences tourists and will undoubtedly benefit students studies.
