Hair and Beauty Staff and Students support Children in Need

Staff and Students in the Hair and Beauty department at UCB have held a series of fundraising events to raise money for the BBC Children in Need appeal.  

For the last few weeks they have been offering head shaves and male leg and chest waxes in return for sponsorship as well as dressing up in the salons with the help of students from the Theatrical and Media Make-Up course.

Leg waxing 'newbee' and EMA Assistant Simon Harwin said “ I was happy to support a good cause, I was nervous beforehand but it didn’t hurt as much as a I thought and I’ve raised, along with colleague Tim Packwood, over £450!”

The final total of money raised at UCB is being counted and we’ll report back as soon as we have the grand total.
