UCB Signs Partnership Agreement

Students studying Hospitality and Tourism at UCSI University, Sarawak Campus, East Malaysia, will now be able to complete their studies at University College Birmingham thanks to a partnership agreement signed when UCB staff travelled to Sarawak in June.

Dr David Luke, Head of International Student Affairs, explained how the partnership will work:

" Students from UCSI will have the opportunity to study at University College Birmingham after they have completed their Diploma; spending up to two years studying to obtain a BA (Hons) Degree in Hospitality, Tourism or Business related courses. Alternatively, on completion of their Bachelors Degree at UCSI, they can come to Birmingham to study on a Masters Programme."

Studying in the UK has once again become a possibility for students from East Malaysia thanks to a boost in their economy in recent years and UCB looks forward to welcoming them.

UCSI’s Chief Operation Officer, Lu Huong Ying said of the partnership:

“This collaboration is testimony of our joint belief that it is only through contact with people of different cultures and different world views that our universities will produce competent, confident and consummate graduates who are internationally employable.”
