Victoria BullUniversity College Birmingham has given Victoria a feeling of fulfilment and has opened her eyes to the possibilities she can now achieve.

Whilst living in Dubai with her family and completing her A Level's, Victoria Bull was extremely nervous about going to University and moving to Birmingham where she did not know anybody. All of the emotion of leaving home was replaced by excitement of starting at University College Birmingham after Victoria had attended an Open Day; "I could imagine myself being a student as the enthusiasm I received from the teaching and support staff was very comforting not only for me but for my family".

Victoria was awarded a First Class Honours Degree in Marketing with Events Management in 2009 and has shown great appreciation to the teaching staff at University College Birmingham who continually inspired and motivated her; "The lecturers at University College Birmingham always proved knowledgeable with their experiences in the industry and always offered support and guidance when teaching each of the modules".

Victoria was a very active student ambassador at University College Birmingham, always welcoming the opportunity to develop her skills in the Marketing and Events industry. When work experience became available at The Good Food Show and The Clothes Show, Victoria applied and was successfully given the position for the shows.

"Working part time is a great way of building up your CV and as well as providing extra money, I was also meeting new people, making new friends and developing my self confidence".

Since going to University in 2006, Victoria has developed in self confidence and overcome a number of academic and life challenges which has proved to her that if you believe in yourself and you work hard you can always achieve what you want.

As Victoria finishes talking about her time at University College Birmingham, she says "I have made friends for life and really believe that if you have the chance to go to University and pursue an area that you are passionate about, take up that opportunity and work hard. University College Birmingham has been one of the best experiences of my life and I will recommend it to anybody".

Since graduating in September 2009, Victoria is now a full time member of staff in the Marketing Department at University College Birmingham and is passing on her enthusiasm of the institution to potential students; "University College Birmingham has changed my life and I am very excited about my future in Marketing and find it very rewarding to now be in a situation where I can develop and pursue my passion every day in my career".
