FE Students Celebrate their Success

A prize presentation evening was held on Wednesday 12 May to celebrate the achievements of some of UCB's further education students.

Organised by BTEC National Diploma hospitality supervision, NVQ food service and NVQ chef students, the evening started with a drinks reception followed by a three course dinner in the Brasserie restaurant.

Joined by family and friends, 16 awards were presented to students from all courses from NVQ to National Diploma level in the categories of Services to College, Work Placement of the Year, Student Endeavour and Academic Achievement. 

Business sponsors who kindly donated a range of prizes included H&B Foods, Dermalogica, the Worshipful Company of Bakers, Early Years Ambassadors and the Albion Foundation.

Gary Wood, Vice Principal, Academic Affairs, UCB said:

"It was an excellent evening, packed full of celebrations and congratulations for the prize winning students. It is important to reward students for their endeavours and it gives motivation for others. We are especially grateful to our business sponsors for their support too".
