3rd Year Diploma in Professional Cookery student Sean Smith was awarded The Academy Learner of the Year at a glittering awards ceremony to present The Springboard Awards for Excellence 2009, the awards sponsored by The National Skills Academy, Hospitality recognise the best in the hospitality business.

Sean was honoured at the awards for being "An enthusiastic, ambitious student, Sean has carried out several successful placements, takes the initiative to assist others in a supportive and constructive way and always meets assignment deadlines."
