Busy weekend for Sports Therapy students
Sports Therapy students have had a busy weekend starting with Saturday, when they were present at the Men's Health; Survival of the Fittest competition in Nottingham. The event saw 47 University College Birmingham students offering post event massage to the 3,000 competitors.
The event is an unusual one, a rural and urban assault course over 10k which saw the competitors running through storm drains, jumping over haystacks, landing in cow pats and swimming in the river amongst other things.
Back to more familiar territory on Sunday and 33 Sports Therapy students were present at the National Indoor arena to offer post event treatments to the runners who had completed the Birmingham Half Marathon.
Sports therapy students attend dozens of events each year as well as running clinics in-house for staff, students and members of the public.
