Victory for Former Student
Former NVQ Chef Catering student Adam Smith is on top of the world after receiving a gold medal at the WorldSkills Competition recently held in Calgary, Canada. Adam was part of the UK team who were thrilled to win overall a fantastic 3 gold and 6 bronze medals.

WorldSkills International was established in 1950 and today 51 Member countries/regions worldwide compete for medals in 45 skill categories in areas as diverse as cabinetmaking, web design, beauty therapy, landscape gardening and of course cooking.
Adam from Alcester now works as a Sous Chef at the prestigious Ritz Hotel in London and is no stranger to awards having earlier this year been nominated for the Craft Guild of Chefs Young Chef of the Year and The Bocuse D'Or 2009 UK Commis of the Year along with winning The British Culinary Federations Young Chef of the Year 2009.
