Taking her place in art history
UCB Subject Librarian, Fiona Murray, is waiting to take her turn on Anthony Gormley's Fourth Plinth whilst raising money for Radio WM's Kidney Kids Appeal.
Fiona has been lucky enough to be chosen from over 32,000 applicants to spend an hour on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square at 6am on Aug 20th, as part of the One and Other Art project that involves a total of 2,400 people standing for one hour each on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square, over a time period of 100 days, and literally being art for that hour.
Fiona has decided to spend her hour fundraising using the theme Kisses for Kidney Kids using the theme of the kiss in art and literature to promote the appeal, giving out kiss packs to people who donate; she will also be inviting people to text her kisses when they see her on the plinth.
Fiona hopes to raise £2,400 to represent the number of people taking part in the project, everyone at UCB wishes Fiona the best of luck and to find out more or sponsor Fiona visit her just giving website.
