Staff raise funds for cancer appeal

College staff dress in pink for the dayStaff and students from the College donned their finest pink outfits last week to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The nationwide Wear it Pink day took place on Friday, October 26, with people at workplaces around the country being invited to donate £2 to wear a pink item of clothing of their choice.

The College got in on the act, with collection boxes in various locations around the building, arranged by personnel officers Teresa Burr and Dave Prynn. The reception area was decorated with pink balloons, designed by student services administrator Lisa Bridges and student counsellor Janet McLaughlin.

Overall, the College raised £326 on the day, which will now be forwarded to the Breast Cancer Campaign.
