Restaurants are a hit with diners
Diners have given an overwhelming thumbs-up to the food and service at the College's restaurants, which will be in action again from the beginning of October.
The three on-site restaurants - The Atrium, The Brasserie and the Cap and Gown - are all open to the public and staffed entirely by students from our chef catering and restaurant service programmes.
Customers are asked to rate the food and service they receive, with the feedback used to help improve the restaurants further in future.
Of those who visited our fine dining restaurant The Atrium during the last academic year, 99 per cent of respondents rated the quality of food as excellent
or good
and said they would recommend the venue to a friend, while 95 per cent were happy with the range of food on the menu and speed of service.
A similar proportion of customers at The Brasserie and the Cap and Gown said they would recommend those venues to a friend.
College food and beverage co-ordinator Rob Smith said: "Both students and staff have worked very hard to achieve these standards, that without doubt compete with the best in the commercial sector.
"The menus reflect current trends in the industry, with the kind of popular dishes that diners would expect in a top-class restaurant."
The Atrium is the college's fine dining establishment, where two courses cost £18.50. A three-course menu at the mid-range Brasserie costs £9.75, while the Cap and Gown focuses on pub-style fayre, with main courses starting at just £3.95.
