College set to welcome freshers

As the College prepares to welcome students onto its degree-level programmes next month, the Student Guild has a range of exciting activities lined up to welcome first years to the College and the city.

Freshers 14 begins on Monday, September 24, and will feature two weeks of night-time events, from dance music nights to hypnotism shows, as well as a day-long visit to Alton Towers on Thursday, September 27.

During the day on Wednesday, October 3, the popular Freshers' Fair will give new arrivals the chance to join the various sports clubs and societies the Guild runs, as well as pick up special offers and promotions aimed at them.

Guild president Chris Edwards said: "We've been working hard to organise a programme of events that is set to be bigger and better than ever before.

"We're looking forward to welcoming new and returning students and this programme of events will have something for everyone."
