College rewards student successes

Amanda Cadman, Emma Cope, Charalampos Koumantakis, Dhire Varand, Kathryn Ball, Timothy Symons, Catherine Cooke, Alex Steel and Katharina NastThe College paid tribute to the success of its students on Higher Education programmes with a prize-giving ceremony at Birmingham’s Copthorne Hotel.

The evening saw 43 students recognised for their hard work, at an event organised by third year culinary arts and hospitality students as part of their assessment.

After a welcome and introduction by Deputy Principal Ray Linforth, the awards were presented by Vice-Principal Academic Affairs Dave Luke and representatives of the various firms who had sponsored each prize.

The ceremony was followed by a May Fayre Feast buffet at the College's Brasserie restaurant, which consisted of a variety of traditional English dishes including Lincolnshire sausages, fish and chips and country herb and garden flower salad.

The restaurant was also decked out in traditional English style, with bunting and a Maypole.
