Chance to learn about career opportunities

Careers Exhibition - 12th March, 2007UCB students will have the chance to find out about a wide range of job and career opportunities when the College's annual recruitment fair takes place next week.

Around 24 employers from the leisure, tourism and hospitality sectors will be on hand to talk about full-time jobs and graduate training schemes, as well as part-time and summer work.

Companies attending the event will include Alton Towers, Gordon Ramsay restaurants, Red Carnation Hotels and Mitchells and Butlers.

Head of careers Ellen O'Brien said: "The careers fair is a brilliant opportunity for students to meet potential future employers face-to-face.

"Our exhibitors will be distributing company information and application materials, and they will also be able to talk to students about the opportunities they have."

Other employers attending include Crown Venue Catering, Premier Training, Pride of Britain, BUNAC, Birmingham Artsfest, Carluccio’s Restaurants, Camp America, Seligo, Britannia Hotel, Birmingham Marriott Hotel, Birmingham Metropole, Aramark, Army Careers and CCUSA.

The careers fair will take place between 11am and 3pm at the Brasserie and Atrium, on the ground floor of the main Summer Row building.
