Model student needs your support

Laura BiggsA student at the College is hoping for catwalk stardom as she enters a competition to find Birmingham's next top model.

Laura Biggs, aged 17, who is studying on the College's BTEC Travel and Tourism programme, has made the final 15 in a competition organised by the Birmingham Mail newspaper.

The winner will be given a one-year modelling contract and free hairdressing for a year.

Laura has already been spotted by scouts twice at the Clothes Show, but hopes this competition will be her big break, and give her the opportunity to see the world as a model on overseas photo shoots and shows.

She said: "Modelling is a very difficult career to get into but maybe this will be the year I get recognised."
