Orientation Programme
We want your time in Birmingham to be happy and productive. Studying in a foreign country can be a daunting prospect, but we will help to make the transition to life in the UK as smooth as possible. To help you settle in, we offer a one-week orientation programme where you will learn all about living and studying in the UK. It is especially developed for international students who are new to the UK and do not speak English as their first language. You will find information about life in the College, how you will be expected to work and study and how assignments and essay work should be presented. It also gives you the chance to meet people and to see something of the social and cultural life of the UK, which is particularly important for students of hospitality, leisure and tourism.
Orientation Programme Dates
-
20th - 24th September 2010 (for those starting their course in October 2010)
Students are not charged a tuition fee for this programme if they progress directly to a full-time course at the College. Please note: there will be an accommodation fee for those staying in the College's halls of residence.
