Meet and Greet

University College Birmingham will be offering you support from the moment you arrive in Birmingham.  In February and September 2012, we will have representatives in the arrival halls at Birmingham International Airport to meet and greet you when you arrive in the city.

The College representatives will escort you onto public transportation (i.e. Taxi which costs approximately £15-£20), which will take you to your accommodation.

Available dates and times:

There will be 2-day periods when we will make this service available for all international students who have been offered an unconditional place at the College in academic year 2011/2012. We strongly suggest you make arrangements to arrive at Birmingham Airport as it is the most convenient and easy way to get to the UCB or the Halls of Residence.

  • On 4th and 5th February 2012 - from 0800 hours to 2200 hours (the weekend before the February One Week Orientation programme starts for international students)
  • On 15th and 16th September 2012 - from 0800 hours to 2200 hours (the weekend before the September One Week Orientation programme starts for international students)
  • On 22nd and 23rd September 2012 - from 0800 to 2200 hours (the weekend before the main enrolment week, which will commence on 24th September 2012)

In order to offer this service you will need to book and inform us of your arrival details at least 3 days before you are due to arrive.
