There are two restaurants at University College Birmingham which are open to the public, the Atrium and the Brasserie. They are open during term times from Monday - Friday and offer fresh and exciting menus at very affordable prices.
The restaurants re-open in October and reservations can be made now on 0121 604 1010.
Students on our chef, food service and hospitality programmes train in the restaurants as part of their course, giving them invaluable hands on experience. This is why customer feedback is always important as it helps to build their skills and knowledge and improves their confidence when dealing with customers.
In the evenings, the Atrium offers a superb fine dining menu with classical dishes with a contemporary twist. Many customers say that their experiences of dining in the Atrium rivals those of other top restaurants.
Samples dishes include:
Pan Seared Scallops
Steamed Lemon Sole
Moroccan Spiced Loin of Lamb
Open on Tuesday to Friday evenings. £24 for two courses and £26 for three courses.
At lunchtimes a more informal menu is offered with dishes including:
Glazed Belly of Pork
Thai Style Fish Cakes
Leek & Ricotta Cannelloni
Dishes are individually priced and start from just £2.
At lunchtimes, take time out to be served a regularly changed menu of modern European and English dishes. 3 courses with coffee is just £13.95.
Or if time is short our Express Dish of the Day, served in the Brasserie bar area is an ideal choice for those who want a quick bite to eat.
Our Hospitality Degree students stage a selection of Themed Evenings during the academic year which offer food and entertainment for something different and fun!
Wines and Cocktails
Alongside regular bar drinks, a comprehensive wine list of quality wines is available, with many higher end brands offered at very affordable prices. This enables students to learn more about different wine varieties and qualities and gives diners a wider choice. Different types of cocktail specials are often available too, with students creating the recipes.
Held in the Brasserie Restaurant, our Theme Nights are organised and coordinated by hospitality students on a variety of courses. These student organised functions offer high levels of food and service, whilst also being excellent value for money.
View our Theme Nights page to see a list of our upcoming nights this Autumn.
