The hired@UCB team supports all our students to make informed decisions about their next steps on completion of their course. This might involve continuing into further study, finding a job or starting a business.
Our Employability Tutors provide impartial advice, information and guidance on a one-to-one basis. They deliver workshops and presentations on specific options including progression to higher education, postgraduate study, graduate schemes, internships and self-employment. Our careers advisers also promote a range of online resources to support students as they make important decisions.
Alumni have the continuing support of the hired@UCB team for up to five years after graduation. We welcome alumni participation in events which help to prepare existing students to develop the skills and experience required for the world of work.
"I went to a presentation organised by hired@UCB for the Cape Cod summer internship with a few friends. There were a couple of employers there to present their restaurants / hotels to us. I had a one to one interview on the same day and got offered the job on the spot for Chatham Bars Inn!"
I received very useful and professional advice from the team. They are willing to help at any time with a smile on their face. Due to the help I had from hired@UCB I have been able to confidently apply for two jobs that suit my experience.
