School of Childhood and Education

We are a major provider within the West Midlands area in professional development for those wanting to work with young children, and for those already working within the sector. We have a strong commitment to quality, flexibility and innovation, which has ensured local and national bodies seek our assistance on number of initiatives for working within the sector of childhood and education.

One of our key strengths is the Early Years and we provide both full time and part time undergraduate programmes within that area. We have introduced clear pathways within the Early Years provision for education, for health and community, and for management.

Recently, we developed a portfolio of programmes with Local Education Authorities and national bodies to provide professional updating for those who support learning, provide a strong link to the Higher Level Teaching Assistant plans of the Government
