Early Years Education MA
This Masters Degree enables students who have successfully completed a PGCE in Early Years at UCB to continue with their professional development and gain a full Masters Award.
The programme aims to further students' knowledge of the context of their previous teaching-related study. It also aims to provide opportunities for qualified teachers to explore current research and issues when working with children. This will necessitate the further development of high levels of transferable skills, an ability to deal with complex issues both systematically and creatively, and the application of skills of analysis, synthesis and evaluation to the research and study of Childhood theory and curriculum.
Within both the taught modules and the dissertation, the programme aims to provide an opportunity to undertake a detailed exploration of a current childhood issue and through this to inform practice by carrying out research in the field.
