Early Childhood Studies (BA Hons) Weekend Top-up

Top up your FdA/DipHe/HND to gain a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies, in just 15 months, part time.

A programme of flexible study options has been created for those who want to top up their qualifications to degree level. Students attend 10 Friday evening / Saturday sessions plus an introductory session.

Mode of Study

Students attend: One introductory session on a Saturday, plus:

  • 10 x Fridays. Sessions run 5pm – 8pm.
  • 10 x Saturdays. Sessions run 9am – 4pm.
  • Three optional Saturday study workshops will also be available.

The taught part of the programme is delivered from September 2012 to June 2013.

All participants are welcome to use the University College's library and resource centre facilities during their time of study. In addition, there will be online tutor support.

Research Project

In addition to the taught part of the programme, students also need to complete a research project by December 2013.

Entry Requirements

Applicants need to have a Foundation Degree / DipHE with 240 credits and a final year average of 50% or a HND pass, in a relevant subject area, and have passed all modules with a merit profile. Applicants will also need to have a minimum of two years post graduation work experience at a supervisory or managerial level.
