What is a Foundation Degree?
These are courses of higher education which have the same value as the first two stages of an Honours degree. They are mostly two years in length for full-time students, with some having an additional year's placement in industry. All have a very work-related approach in both the learning that students do and the assessment that they complete. Part-time programmes are also available.
These courses are suitable for a wide range of applicants with both both relevant qualifications and appropriate industry experience.
For all part-time Foundation Degree students, the College has made available bursaries which meet the full cost of tuition fees. There are, then, no tuition fees to pay if you study a Foundation Degree part-time.
They are designed in conjunction with employers, and all benefit from the mix of extensive industrial experience and academic credibility that characterise the teaching teams for the courses.
