Sports Therapy Placements

Employers are looking to recruit staff with the right combination of skills, experience and specialised knowledge. Irrespective of which level you study, you will be at a major advantage when applying for a job if you have had some real experience of the working environment.

All our courses include opportunities to get valuable work experience, and the majority of these are real jobs with real responsibilities.

In total, around 2000 students undertake some type of work experience each year, with the Industrial Placement Centre arranging the majority of these. Staff from the Centre work very closely with students on an individual basis, in order to find the best match between their aspirations and the requirements of the placement provider.

During the second year of your programme, students gain professional experience as a sports therapist.  This may involve an attachment in the role of trainee therapist to a sports clinic, team or organisation.
