Adventure Tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the global tourism industry with adventure based operators experiencing phenomenal growth.
Its an exciting time to be working in adventure tourism as more of the world opens up to tourism our programmes will prepare you for a career in this growth industry through adopting a multi-disciplinary and practical approach focusing on the dynamics of adventure tourism activity.
UCB was the first institution in the world to run programmes in adventure tourism and we continue to lead the way with our highly innovative programmes.
We enjoy excellent links with the industry and fund a number of unique field visits throughout the programme taking in both UK and overseas destinations, so allowing students to put theory into practice.
Every final year degree student manages their own international expedition, with destinations as diverse as Fiji, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Madagascar being just some of the locations being visited by groups over the last few years.
Former students now work as international trek leaders, charity fund raisers, event organisers, activity instructors and project aid workers amongst many other positions.
