Once you have applied
After you have completed the online application, UCAS will forward a copy to the College Admissions Office. The terms of the offers made normally are based on standard academic entry requirements, but if a candidate (for example a mature candidate) does not have the standard entry requirements then the Dean or Assistant Dean of the Academic School will review the application.
Each application is considered individually and careful consideration is given to all information on your UCAS form, particularly your personal statement, reference and the qualifications you have taken or are taking. In most cases a decision to make an offer can be based on this information alone.
Official offer letters are sent by UCAS. Your offer may be conditional if you still have examinations to take, or unconditional if you have already satisfied the standard entry requirements. When we contact UCAS with your offer we will also send you further information about University College Birmingham and invite you to come and visit us.
If you decide to firmly accept an offer there are certain conditions of acceptance which can be found by visiting our conditions of acceptance page.
