Hospitality Business Management BA (Hons) / FdA
Hospitality is a diverse international industry, offering exciting prospects to suitably qualified graduates.
The School of Hospitality, Food and Events Management is a leading provider of contemporary Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree courses in this field. Students are able to take advantage of specialist facilities including two restaurant operations and a property management suite.
These Degree and Foundation Degree courses in Hospitality Business Management reflect the varied nature of work undertaken by managers in the hospitality industry and develop the technical specialisms associated with hospitality management within the overall framework of business and management disciplines.
Both the FdA and the BA degree courses include a compulsory 48 week placement.
FdA students spend Stage 1 at UCB, Stage 2 on placement, returning for their final stage of studies.
BA students spend Stage 1 and Semester 1 of Stage 2 at UCB followed by a year of placement returning to UCB in Semester 2 of their third stage.
Advancement can be rapid for graduates in this industry. Former students are employed in areas including hotel and restaurant management, conference and exhibition management, events planning, food and service facilities management, hospitality business development and hospitality consultancy.
