Marketing with Events Management BA (Hons) / FdA
From music festivals to international business conferences, the Events Management business is a diverse yet growing business, demanding marketing and sales managers capable of working effectively with many stakeholders.
These programmes have been designed to develop an understanding of the business or marketing events through the study of the marketing principles and operations underpinning event activity.
Along with theoretical marketing considerations, the programme features practical promotional and PR work together with live project work, covering, for example, market research and the development of marketing plans for local organisations.
Students also have the opportunity to plan, implement and evaluate their own live event as an integral element of the programme.
Opportunities exist to take modern language studies throughout the programme, whilst a host of overseas international study exchange programmes exist in Europe, South East Asia, Australia and the USA for which students are eligible.
Previous undergraduates now work in the public, private and voluntary sector in fields such as conference venues, exhibition centres, event organisers, festivals, sales, market research and in PR and promotion.
