Course Content
This course explores the wide variety of services provided by hospitality organisations, while offering a thorough introduction to the skills required for success in the industry. You will gain first hand experience of the preparation and service of food and drink and develop customer service and business skills in the College's own high-quality restaurant operations.

Assessment

You will be mainly assessed through coursework, including projects, assignments, presentations and practical work experience. There will also be practical assessment for restaurant service and cooking skills.
Career Opportunities
Hospitality is a diverse and exciting industry and could see you working on cruise liners, in hotels, restaurants, theme parks, tourist attractions and airports. With a National Diploma you may be considered for an operational post, junior supervisory or possibly management trainee position within food, beverage or accommodation areas or in sales or administration.
Progression to Higher Education
Students Successfully completing Level 3 can progress on to the Foundation Degree or Degree in Hospitality Business Management or the Degree / Foundation Degree Hospitality Hospitality & Food Management, available at UCB.
