Bakery VRQ Level 3

Course Content

Designed to further develop skills and knowledge to an advanced level, specialising in fermented and non-fermented goods. Opportunities also exist for research into design and specialist production.

Assessment

Students will be required to complete written exam questions for underpinning mandatory unit. In addition assignments and practical exams must be completed for each unit. 

Career Opportunities

Opportunities at this level could include Test & Development Baker, Technical Representative, Quality Controller, Research and Development and even self-employment.

Progression to Higher Education

On successful completion of the programme students can progress onto a Foundation Degree Programme in a relevant subject.

Year 10 and 11 pupils interested in a career in bakery have the chance to take part in a Junior Academy.
