VRQ Level 2 Bakery

Course Content

This is a vocational programme and will provide a foundation for a career in the bakery industry. You will develop practical skills in bread and confectionery, working in our two state-of-the-art bakery areas.

Assessment

The course provides the underpinning knowledge for the online test in food manufacture. Practical assessments are also required on this programme.

Career Opportunities

This qualification could open doors for you in the hotel and catering industry, as well as commercial bakeries and confectionery manufacturers.

Year 10 and 11 pupils interested in a career in bakery have the chance to take part in a Junior Academy.
