This is the bright and modern entrance to the main College building in Summer Row. As you are facing the glass front doors, if you scroll to the right you will see the Visitor Information Centre. As you continue to scroll around to the right you see the steps, which lead to the reception desk.
The Maltings
Exterior
The Maltings is the student Halls of Residence located 10 minutes walk away from the College. Set in a canalside location there are 827 study bedrooms on the site, 809 of which are en-suite. The rooms have computer/telephone points and fully equipped dining kitchen areas. A number of ground floor rooms are designed to accommodate students with special requirements including accommodation for carers.

Kitchen Facilities
The fully equipped dining kitchens include cookers, fridges and irons and ironing boards. Students are allocated cupboard space for food storage and you will need to provide your own cooking utensils and crockery and cutlery.
Cambrian Hall
Exterior
Located just 2 minutes away from the University College Cambrian Hall provides accommodation for 247 students. Like The Maltings, Cambrian Hall is set in a canalside location with fully equipped kitchen and lounge areas study bedrooms with computer points and internet access.
Student Bedroom
There are 247 student bedrooms with bathroom facilities shared between 2 bedrooms. The rooms are fully furnished and have computer points and internet access. A number of ground floor rooms are designed to accommodate students with special requirements including accommodation for carers.
Kitchen Facilities
The fully equipped dining kitchens and lounge include cookers, fridges and allocated cupboard space. You will need to provide your own cooking utensils and cutlery.
Birmingham
Centenary Square
Centenary Square is close to the College and is the gateway to the Broad Street area where all the bars, clubs and restaurants are situated. Here you will see the famous Symphony Hall and the Rep Theatre, both of which host full programmes of entertainment throughout the year.
Brindley Place (View 1)
Brindleyplace is a stunning canalside development area about 5 minutes walk away from College. There are lots of restaurants, including the popular Bank Restaurant, bars and a selection of shops. Nestling in the background is the National Sea Life Centre. It is a great area to show off to visitors and in the summer months the outdoor cafes are both lively and a wonderful place to relax.
Brindley Place (View 2)
Brindleyplace is a stunning canalside development area about 5 minutes walk away from College. There are lots of restaurants, including the popular Bank Restaurant, bars and a selection of shops. Nestling in the background is the National Sea Life Centre and in this picture, the building behind the fountains in the shade is Café Rouge.
Canal and the ICC
The canal is at the heart of the Brindleyplace development and links together the International Convention Centre and the restaurants and bars.
The Waters Edge
When you cross the bridge over the canal from the International Convention Centre this is the point you will reach. It is the gateway to the bars and restaurants of Brindleyplace and is busy throughout the year.
Oozells Square
This square is in Brindleyplace. The older style, red brick building is the Ikon Gallery, a contemporary art gallery that has a continuous programme of changing exhibitions and activities. It also houses a splendid tapas restaurant.
Local radio station, Heart FM is also based in the square.
