UCB Charter
The Charter is our public statement of the quality of service users can expect from us. It includes a variety of useful information and contact details and explains the range of services we provide to ensure students' time with us is as positive and supportive as possible. For example, we offer advice and support for pastoral and academic needs including accommodation, health, finance, childcare, confidential counselling, careers and a variety of additional academic workshops and drop-in support services. The Charter includes a number of service targets so we can measure our performance and students' satisfaction with us.
The Charter is updated and issued each year to all new and returning students and is available in a variety of formats including Braille and large print versions. The Charter also explains how students can sort out any problems they may have and includes a formal complaint/grievance procedure. Comments on the Charter and the College generally are welcomed at all times.

The College is a member of the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) scheme, which provides an independent service for the review of student complaints in higher education colleges and universities. Students or ex-students of the College, once they have exhausted the College's complaints or appeals procedures, may refer their complaint to the OIA if they consider it has not been satisfactorily dealt with.
For more information on the OIA and the complaints handling process, contact the College's Quality Systems Manager or access the OIA website on www.oiahe.org.uk.
