FAQs for on-campus events

I would like to attend your open day – how do I book a place?

You can book your place here. Please be aware, that this is a form to book onto our online event.

Do I need to bring a copy of my open day confirmation?

Our online events do not require a booking confirmation, as you will be invited to attend a Microsoft Teams event for which you have to register.

What time does the event start?

The event starts at 12pm and runs until 1.30pm. You will have a chance to speak with Admissions and Student Finance after your course presentation is finished.

Do I have to book to attend any of the subject presentations?

On the day of event, you will be added into your preferred course breakout room – you will need to select the course you are interested in on your booking form.

How long do the presentations last?

Presentations last roughly 45 minutes with a chance to ask questions at the end. 

Which campus do I need to go to?

For our online events, you can join our Microsoft Teams event from anywhere in the world.

I am interested in more than one course – do I have to register for each course?

As long as you register on arrival, you do not need to register for more than one course.

I have not received email confirmation of my booking – what should I do?

If you do not receive a confirmation email of your booking, please contact us. You can email events@ucb.ac.uk or call 0121 232 4300. Remember to check your junk mail.

What happens if I arrive late for my subject presentation?

You can still join your presentation as once you have joined the Microsoft Teams event, you will be added to your course’s breakroom.

I wish to cancel my open day booking – how can I do this?

Please email events@ucb.ac.uk or call 0121 232 4300 if you would like to cancel your place.

Do I need to let you know if I or one of my guests has a disability?

As this is an online event, there would be no guests joining you in your course presentation. If you would need us to make any arrangements for you to join our online event, please let us know in advance.
